The 1/7th Scale Sakura Kinomoto is Available in Two Versions!

This figure of Sakura has been created as collaborative project between Good Smile Company as a part of our 15th anniversary and 'Cardcaptor Sakura', which has not only reached its 20th anniversary but also started an all new 'Clear Card Arc' in the July edition of Nakayoshi magazine! The figure is based on an original illustration drawn by Cardcaptor Sakura's author, CLAMP!

The figure is available in a simple version that captures Sakura-chan's sweet smile for fans to enjoy by their side, and the details of her hair as well as the frills on her skirt and even the smaller accessories of her outfit have all been intricately sculpted to ensure everything about the original design has been kept intact: http://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/5807/

The Good Smile Company 15th Anniversary, plus the legendary Sakura Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura. Not to mention an all-new illustration specially drawn by CLAMP to make for a most enjoyable challenge to sculpt.

It goes without saying that I put everything I had into sculpting this figure and capturing Sakura's charm, but I also really put my mind to representing the base around Sakura as faithfully as possible. The area that gave the most trouble were the frills in her outfit. I had to carefully balance out the amount of detail while still keeping the light, airy apperance of the pose. That said, it was only one of the many areas that has been sculpted over and over again trying to capture Sakura as perfectly as possible.

When it came to the paintwork, the colors and tones were carefully selected to create a gentle, light atmosphere. The lines and use of color on the illustration were carefully considered and through a number of careful adjustments the figure was finally completed.
